I've been off the grid for a while, because I've been the library's bitch-slave for the past week studying. But I'm back, and so stoked to be done exams.
I know I told you I would stop posting top40 kind of shit.............but sometimes, that shit is popular for a reason.

yet another 206 rapper..

The northwest aka seattle is churning out MC's faster than they're churning out Starbucks'. check this fun little video, it even has everyones favourite....MACKLEMORE

B.o.B x Vampire Weekend

B.o.B is a Nazi...?

Another release from The Adventures of Bobby Ray, B.o.B samples Vampire Weekend's The Kids Don't Stand a Chance. 'nuff said.

return of jj

Most of you are in the middle of exams, and need some easy listening. Even though you try and tell yourself that Enter Sandman helps get you psyched up for studying, we all know it doesn't actually help. So here's some easy listening, courtesy of jj, an artist that I've featured beforeand who are touring with The XX. Seriously, enough of the double-letters. But this is a cover of.....................BIRTHDAY SEX. I know right? Whatever, it's chill.

P.s. I know it's 420. Go listen to Bob Marley or whatever it is that you kids do these days.

japanese gentlemen

okay, completely not music related in any way.....but guys, check this out. This site is devoted to teaching you how to be like the Dos Equis Most Interesting Man in the World. But it starts off with some pretty simple stuff, like how to properly iron your shirt. To the guys reading this, I know you all like to look like scruffy lumberjacks these days, but learn how to be a gentleman too. You can start by checking out this video, and then following this LINK (how to shine your shoes, make cocktails, party tricks....you name it. just follow the left hand navigation bar).

who knew watching a guy ironing could be entertaining? i guess i'm just nerdy like that. but seriously guys, stop rocking wrinkly shit all the time. you look like that guy on the corner of 97th.

MORE MACKLEMORE

Damn I love this guy. But then again, who doesn't? The lyrics to this track are hilarious, but so oddly catchy. Check the LIVE VIDEO of this, he spits hot fiyah like Dylan, but with an incredible wig. Looks like such a rowdy show. Or in the words of Jeron Wilson........this shit is buttery.
And if you haven't peeped the previous stuff on Macklemore, check it HERE.

LRG summer 2010

a look at LRG's summer styles with some of the biggest names in the skate game, I'm definitely feeling the video more than the clothes. But definitely worth a look, to help you through the exam-crunch days. just picture yourself on a beach......

p.s. holy dreads

hayley williams x B.o.B................huh?

I'm a big fan of Atlanta rapper B.o.B. aka Bobby Ray, and I'm excited for his April 27th release of B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray. This was leaked today from that album, featuring Hayley Williams, the singer from every teen fem-punk's favorite band, Paramore.
Definitely an interesting collabo, but I'm digging it. Not for everyone, but you win some, you lose some.

lazy sunday

It's a beautiful day outside, and this kind of weather always brings out the indie kid in me. So kick up your feet and chill out to this great edit of Heartbeats, by The Knife, covered by Jose Gonzalez. He's of Argentine descent, but is Swedish, and I found this remix on a Japanese blog. WTF?

And yes, this was the music video where they drpoped 250,000 bouncy balls down San Fran.

Dearest readers, I need your help

Okay so most of you know that I'm down with WeSC, and they released this film a few months ago, but I can't place the song.
Any of you know what song it is? Drop me a comment.

C-Bangs....C-Bangs!

William Hung reference anyone?
Anyways, Chiddy Bang of MGMT-sampling fame just released Air Swell, the followup mixtape to The Swelly Express.
Definitely some cool samples on this mixtape. Hey London samples Hot Chip's One Life Stand, Breakfast is from Kate Nash's Skeleton Song, and Shooter samples La Roux's 2009 banger Bulletproof.

Download the entire mixtape HERE.

Usher x Goat

Am I the only one who found this hilarious? Almost as good as death metal rooster.

The new LR album art. no more britney. no more vomit.
wreath from UN. brass knuckz from south central LA.

And I'm glad that SOMEONE out there went on a downloading storm last night. I woke up to 30+ emails. After that, I went and disabled email notifications. Enjoy the music.

HIATUS STATUS

It's pretty obvious that I've been away from blogging for a while. Why? I just got sick of posting stuff that I wasn't truly in to, but rather stuff that was popular. I'm talking about Top40 remixes and stuff like that. I don't even dig that music, but I put it up because everyone wanted it.
Instead, from now on, I'm going to try and stay true to my roots and only put up stuff that I genuinely enjoy. If you don't like it, and would rather hear stuff about my shawtay being like a melody in my head, tough shit. Go party on limewire.
Also, stop being creepers, and let me know what you like, and what you don't. Drop some comments or something. I'm probably also taking this blog in a bit of a different direction, since the e-police are committing hate crimes on music blogs, I'm going to diversify a bit. I'll still do music, but throw in some other stuff too.

Now that I'm done being a whiny internet bitch, peep this new track by Charles Hamilton. I listened to his mixtapes after I first heard him on Entourage, but didn't really dig a lot of his stuff. He's pretty hit or miss for me, but this new track is definitely a hit. A mellow yellow track, in honor of a family member that he was staying with, but didn't know, and saw the impact of their death on his family.

P.s. I still don't get why all his mixtapes and stuff are related to Sonic the Hedgehog. Seriously. Why.
